The Faculty of Science and Technology, Mewar University, organized a vibrant and joyful Children’s Day Celebration on 14th November to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and to honor his vision for children as the nation’s future.
The event began with a warm welcome by the organizing committee, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Dean Academic delivered the inaugural speech, highlighting the significance of Children’s Day and the importance of fostering creativity, curiosity, and compassion among young learners. He emphasized that children are the true assets of the nation and that educational institutions play a vital role in shaping their future through holistic development.
Following this, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor addressed the gathering. In his speech, he encouraged students to dream big, explore the world of science and technology, and cultivate values of discipline and integrity. He appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Science and Technology in organizing such an impactful event and motivated the children to engage with scientific learning in fun and meaningful ways.
Cultural and Academic Activities
The celebration featured a wide range of performances and activities presented by university students—Group Dances, Motivational Songs, Poetry, and Skits. The performances filled the atmosphere with energy and enthusiasm, making the celebration both educational and entertaining.
Student Speeches
Selected students from different departments delivered short speeches reflecting on the life of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the importance of childhood, and the role of science and technology in shaping the future. Their words added a thoughtful dimension to the event and showcased the confidence and communication skills of the university’s young learners.
