Introduction:
Mewar University in collaboration with Motilal Oswal Foundation offers talented students a chance to pursue higher education from Mewar University at Zero Fees. The student will receive a 100% scholarship (50% will be borne by the University and 50% will be borne by Motilal Oswal Foundation) in Tuition Fees and Hostel Fees both during the years of study at the University.
About Mewar University:
Mewar University, promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES), Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) is an autonomous body set up through the promulgation of an ordinance by the Government of Rajasthan in 2008, which was passed by the Rajasthan Assembly through Act. No. 4 of 2009. The University is also approved by the University Grants Commission u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act vide letter No.F.9-15/2009 (CPP-I) dated 30th March 2009. The University is a Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).The University is also approved u/s 12B of the UGC Act, 1956 and NAAC accredited. Various courses of the University as per the mandate of the government of India are also recognized by the concerned Indian Government Statutory Regulatory Authorities/Councils such as the Bar Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teacher Education, and All India Council for Technical Education.
Mewar University provides world-class infrastructure to its students, creating an excellent learning environment and a cosmopolitan ambience. The university presently encompasses 12.50 Lac sq.ft. of constructed area and continues to add around 1,00,000 sq.ft. area annually. The university has approximately 10,000 students at present. Most students (more than 75%) belong to SC, ST, OBC & Minority categories and representfar-flungareas of almost all the country's states. 90% of the students are from rural areas belonging to the poorest of the poor sections of society.

In the Educational Programs, 243 schools, 22365 students and 307 teachers benefited. In the Institution Building Programs, 7 Institutes and 8900 students were impacted. In the Employee Volunteering Program, more than 300 employees have volunteered more than 5000 hours of service.
Activities undertaken by Motilal Oswal Foundation
1. The Motilal Oswal Foundation has recently set up a hostel at Lallubhai Park, Andheri (West), Mumbai, called “Agrawal Oswal Chhatrawas” in collaboration with the Rajasthan Vidyarthi Griha. The Agrawal Oswal Chhatrawas is a state of the art hostel for students from various parts of the country who aspire for the professional course of Chartered Accountancy. It’s a 5-storey building with total capacity of approximately 210 students on triple sharing basis with attached toilet & bath.
2. Initiated “Gyan Daan” program which is a learning program at a school servingchildren from the underprivileged section of society.
3. Mid-day meals to school children through the ISKCON Food Relief Foundation andthus feeding approximately 600 children every day.
4. Contribution through cash and kind to various NGOs like Goonj, through the Joy of Giving Week.
About the Scholarship Scheme:
With a vision to cater to future gems of our nation studying across the country in rural areas at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Vidya Bharti, DAVs and other schools, a special scholarship scheme is introduced wherein 50% of the tuition fees (including registration fees, exam fees etc.) and 50% of the hostel fees (including mess charges) will be borne by the University and the remaining 50% fees will be borne by the Motilal Oswal Foundation.
Through this scheme, it is planned to reach 3500+ schools all over rural India comprising 4,00,000+ students and aiming to intake 100 students (The best ones and needy who can not avail of any Government Scholarship).
The Scholarship Scheme is valid only for 4-year/5-year UG programmes namely B.Tech., BBA-MBA (Integrated), BHM, B. Pharma, B.Sc. (Agriculture), BMLT, BRIT, BOTT, BPT, BA-LLB, BBA-LLB. The seat matrix under the above-mentioned scheme is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Students scoring 80% or above in Class 12th studying from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, DAV, Vidya Bharti. For students studying from any other school other than mentioned above, the eligibility is 85% or above in Class 12th.
2. The student must belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the society (Certificate issued by the District/State/National Body etc. as applicable as proof).
How To Apply:
The applicant has to fill in the registration form available on the University website www.mewaruniversity.org
Selection Procedure:
1. An online Entrance Test will be conducted whose date will be notified to the applicant.
2. Based on entrance test examination results, Personal Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted in offline/online mode.
3. A merit list and a waiting list would be prepared based on the entrance exam and personal interview results. The merit list holders would be provided admission with the scholarship after due verification of the documents.
4. In case, any student drops out from the merit list, the student in the higher position on the waiting list will be included in the merit list.
Registration Fees:-
A registration fees of Rs. 5000/- is applicable at the time of admission and is to be deposited each year.
Caution Money:-
A caution money of Rs. 30,000/- (one time only) is to be deposited by the student at the time of admission which would be refundable after the successful completion of course.
General Guidelines: -
1. The student selected in this scholarship shall not be eligible to avail any other Central Govt./ State Govt./ University or any other scholarship.
2. Scholarship is granted on an annual basis and continuation in further years.
3. Scholarship seats are limited and seats would be allotted strictly on a merit basis.
4. Any student fulfilling the eligibility criteria will not be allotted a scholarship seat till the student appears on the merit list.
5. If any student is found guilty of misconduct or any disciplinary action is initiated against the student then the scholarship will be discontinued for that student and the student will have to pay the fees.
6. Hostel Accommodation is compulsory during the complete study tenure.
