The Faculty of Legal Studies, Mewar University, organised a guest lecture on September 29th, 2025, delivered by Dr. Abhimanyu Singh, Managing Partner of Manulegal & Associates, Jaipur, on the theme “Preparing Students for Entry in Corporate and Industry.” The session was attended by law students, and was part of the Faculty’s initiative to expose students to professional practices and industry expectations.
Dr. Singh was welcomed and felicitated by Dr. Deepak Vyas, Dean (Academics), Mewar University.
In his address, Dr. Singh highlighted the growing opportunities for law graduates in the corporate and industrial sectors. He explained that while litigation remains an important career path, corporate practice requires additional skill sets, including legal drafting, commercial awareness, negotiation, and effective client management. He also stressed the significance of internships, urging students to treat them as opportunities to gain practical exposure, develop networks, and demonstrate professionalism. According to him, qualities such as punctuality, adaptability, teamwork, and respect for deadlines are highly valued by employers.
Dr. Singh further emphasized the importance of continuous learning, encouraging students to pursue specialised certifications and remain updated on legal and business developments.
The lecture concluded with a vibrant interactive session, where students asked questions about career choices, internships, and interview preparation. Dr. Singh responded with practical advice and anecdotes from his own experience, which made the session highly engaging and inspiring.
Following the lecture, A formal vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Pradyumn Sharma, who appreciated the speaker’s insights and the enthusiastic participation of students. The lecture was attended by Law Faculty members, namely Mrs. Geetanjali Sharma, HoD, Faculty of Legal Studies, Dr. Amit Dadhich, Mr. Nitin Tripathi, Mr. Eshan Singhal and Mr. Ambuj Mishra. The event proved to be a valuable learning experience and reinforced the Faculty’s commitment to bridging academia and industry.
