The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized an industrial visit to Shree Bhagwati Textile Industries, Bhilwara, on 23rd August 2025, with the objective of providing students practical exposure to modern machining practices and real-world industrial operations. A total of 25 students from Diploma and B.Tech programs actively participated in the visit, which served as an effective bridge between theoretical learning and industrial applications.
During the visit, students observed the functioning of conventional and advanced CNC machines, including lathes, drilling, milling, and grinding machines, gaining valuable insights into how raw materials are transformed into finished products with precision. The session also highlighted the role of automation and mechatronics in CNC systems, demonstrating how the integration of electronics, sensors, and software with mechanical systems enhances accuracy, efficiency, and productivity in manufacturing.
An interactive session with Mr. Rajeev Sharma, Owner of Shree Bhagwati Textile Industries, along with his team provided students with a deeper understanding of emerging trends in manufacturing, the importance of indigenous production, and future opportunities for mechanical engineers. The visit further emphasized essential industrial practices such as preventive maintenance, quality control, and workplace safety.
The visit was successfully coordinated by Mr. Gaurav (Assistant Professor), Mr. Sayak Subh Bera (Assistant Professor), and Mr. Javed (Technical Assistant). Mr. Dinesh Kumar, Head Mechanical Engineering Department, expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Rajeev Sharma and his team for their cooperation and support in making the visit successful. He also extended thanks to the Mechanical Engineering Department and the University management for making this visit successful.
