Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences visited the city of lakes UDAIPUR for an educational trip. We started at 7:30 am on 13th April, 2019 .There were around eighty students s of B.Sc. Agriculture and Forestry 3rd yearaccompanied, guided by Dr. K.K. Bhati faculty members of department. The trip facilitated the students to know and understand the various fields of agriculture. Firstly we visited CDFST department where Dr. Shurbhi Sharma enriched students with various food processing units .Then we moved towards the Post harvest technology department and renewable energy department of CATE where Dr. Kapil Samerexplained in detail about biogas plant .Afterwards working about various machineries of harvesting technology was given byDr. S.S. Vyas. Then the team moved to RCA where we first went to MPUAT museum and ATIC. Dr Raghuveer Singh Rathore explained the history of RCA. During this educational tour students also visited various historical places also. The accommodation was arranged at Kisan Ghar, RCA. On second day we visited Mashroom Unit , Horticulture department , organic farming , vermicompost unit and meteorological unit . Students gained knowledge about mashroom cultivation under the supervision of Dr. S.S. Sharma . Dr. Solanki briefed about all the equipments of meteorology. Dr. Sharavan Kumar delivered lecture on organic farming and vermicompost. Students viewed many types of polyhouses and green houses . We also went to animal husbandry andfisheries department . We also visited KVK Badgoan where Dr. Bahadur Singh explained about Azolla formation techniques and Technical milk extraction process. Under the umbrealla of MPUAT all the students were enriched with many of the subjects of B.Sc. Agriculture.The tour was highly informative and had a good educational value as the students got experience and knowledge about Agriculture techniques .Specially the students of forestry explored their vast knowledge visiting Biological park. The various resource persons enriched the team with various techniques of Agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry.The tour was supervised under Dr. Neelu Jain , Assistant Professor, department of Extension education.We returned by 14th april evening. Lastly, we thank to Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya and all higher authorities,for their constant support and wish to be a part of more such educational trips
