Incharge Minister for Chittorgarh Mr Shale Mohammad, Minister for Minority Affairs, Waqf and Redressal of Public Grievances visited Chittorgarh on 7th January, 2018 for the first time after being sworn in. He reached Circuit House where he was felicitated by Mr Govind Lal Gadiya, Chairman, Mewar Education Society and Member, Board of Management, Mewar University, Gangrar (Chittorgarh) alongwith officers of University.
He was informed that there are students from 23 States of the country and majority of them are from very poor background especially belong to SC/ST/OBC categories. Nearly 800 students are from minority community. This is the only University in the State of Rajasthan which is NAAC accredited and approved u/s 12B of the UGC Act, 1956. He was also briefed about the various courses conducted by the University and other educational activities undertaken. He appreciated the efforts of the University and assured that he will visit the University in his next visit to the District.
