Department of Physics on behalf of Mewar University, celebrated Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti with pride and pleasure on 5th January 2017, at Mewar University seminar hall.
H’ble President MU, Prof. V.N.R. Pillai; Dean, Dr. R. K. Paliwal; HOD, Dr. Gulzar Ahmed lighted the lamp and prayed to Goddess Saraswati and then garlanded the image of Guru Gobind Singh. Dean Agriculture, Dean Education, HOD’s, Faculties and other staff were present in the event. A speech on the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was given by Dean, Dr. R. K. Paliwal. He also enlightened the gathering by giving examples from the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
A video prepared by Mr. Arpit Soni on the life and learning of Guru Gobind Singh was shown. Dr. Sonia Singla gave a speech in Punjabi about the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh.
H’ble President MU, Prof. V.N.R. Pillai motivated and encouraged the staff by his inspirational speech. He told that we can learn to balance tradition with modernism and could also learn to balance spiritualism with materialism by following the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The program was coordinated by Mr. Arpit Soni. Rangoli and other decorations were done by Ms. Priyanka, Ms. Madhuri, Ms. Ranjana and Ms. Neelu Maheshari. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Gulzar Ahmed.
