On Feb. 28, 2015, Department of Physics celebrated “National Science Day”. Prof. R. K. Paliwal, Dean, Basic Sciences, Mewar University inaugurated the function with lamp lightening and Saraswati puja. A gallery of some Indian scientists was displayed in the department which was created by Raghav, Dikhsa and Manpreet Kaur (B.Tech 1st year students), after that Mr. Sanjay Singh delivered an introductory speech on the importance of science in our life along with the tribute to Sir C.V. Raman. A video made by Raghav and group (B.Tech. I year) showing the fantasy of Science was also presented over there. After that a song was presented by Rajiya Rashid (B.Tech Ist year student). A speech was also delivered by Mr. Balram Panda on the life of Sir C.V. Raman.
At the next sequence of this function a Group Discussion was organized among students of Diploma Ist Year on the topic “Impact of Science”. At last some questions on Sir C.V. Raman were asked in the form of a quiz. A Model showing a Hydro Power Plant was shown by Mr. Wajahat Bin Jalal. The rangoli and decoration was done by students under the guidance on Ms. Chitra Chaubisa. At the end of the successful completion of the function Dr. Gulzar Ahmed on the behalf of department gave vote of thanks.
