Mewar University, Gangrar, Chittorgarh: Faculty of legal studies atMewar University celebrated 156th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanandaon 12th January 2018. Thisis also observed as national youth day.

The celebration was enthusiastically attended by all the faculty members.Prof (Dr.) R.K. Paliwal, Dean Basic Science & Dean research delivered a motivational and inspiration speech and also gave the glimpses of Swami Vivekananda’s life and ideals.

Swami Vivekanandawas born on January 12, 1863. He played an important role in introducing Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the western world. He also played a key role in making Hinduism gain the status of world’smajor religion during the end of the 19th century. Swami Ji,a disciple of spiritual leader Ramakrishna Paramahansa, enchanted the European world with his inspiring speech at the Parliament of the World’s Religions at Chicago (USA) in 1893. Swamiji, as he was called by his disciples, founded social welfare body ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.

Mr.Amit Yadav, Assistant Professor of Department of law delivered speech on the principles of Swami Vivekananda.Students of Mewar University performed skit,recited poem, sang song and dance.A Quiz on the life of Swami Vivekananda also conducted.All the faculty members and students actively took part. At the endMiss AshaRawat, Head, Department of Law,presented vote of thanks.

It was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by the student and entire staff of Mewar University.
