Shaheed Diwas program was organized by the Department of Medical laboratory technology and Biotechnology on 23rd March 2017 to remember the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who were hanged to death on this day in 1931. Mrs. Jaya, (HoD, Medical laboratory technology) welcomed all the dignitaries. Prof. V.N.R. Rajshekharan Pillai, Honourable Vice Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) R.C. Tiwari, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Sciences inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Hon’ble vice chancellor spoke about the patriotism of pre-independence and post-independence and encouraged the students to work hard for the growth of the nation. Prof. (Dr.) R.C. Tiwari spoke about the dedicated services of army man on the borders of our country. Mr. Salman and Ms. Aroos hosted the program and students of different departments presented their views through speech, dance, song and drama. Mr. Amit Sen (Asst. Prof., Biotechnology department) gave thanks to all the dignitaries, faculties, participants and audience for their gracious presence and the program ended with the national anthem.
