Techno-Zeal is the official tech-fest of Mewar University celebrated annually with the core objectives of creating, nurturing and finally shaping technical skills, aptitude, research and sportsmanship among students. Mewar University organized Techno-Zeal 2k16 from 5th March 2016 to 13th March 2016, which saw an extravaganza of technical acumen and display of cognizance, innovation and pragmatic implementation of technology. Students from various streams participated with great enthusiasm.
Techno-Zeal 2k16 attracted active participation of students in technical sports and cultural events. 2064 students participated in 27 technical events from all branches, more than 1000 students took part in 10 sports events and around 1100 students actively participated in 14 cultural events. The motto of this fest is to motivate the young minds of today to make a transition—a transition from specialist to generalist, analyst to integrator, tacticians to strategist, brick layer to architect, problem solver to agenda setter, warrior to diplomat and supporting cast member to lead role.
Shri Prassana Kumar Khamesra, Superintendent of Police (Chittorgarh) was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairperson, Mewar University welcomed everyone and gave a thought provoking speech. The program started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries as a homage to Mother Saraswati, followed by chanting of Saraswati vandana and Kulgeet. Dr. Gadiya and Shri Khamesra distributed the prizes among the winners of technical sports and cultural events. The occasion witnessed some electrifying dance performances, heart touching and message giving skits and mono act by the students. The campus reverberated with a spirit of patriotism as the National anthem was sung by whole gathering.
