Pankaj Dubey, a well-known author, unveiled his second book “ISHKIYAPA or To Hell With Love ” recently in the premises of Mewar University. Mr. Dubey, who has been associated with the BBC and the India Today group, is also a script writer and director. His first book is a novel entitled, “What A Loser!” published by Penguin India, which is widely acclaimed. A feature film in Hindi is being made on his debut novel.
During the launch ceremony, Mr. Dubey enthralled the audience in a packed auditorium, mainly consisting of students and staff, with his brilliant sense of humor by reading out excerpts from his book and by sharing anecdotes of his varied experiences in the world of media and showbiz. He also dwelt on the craft of fiction writing, and how the narrative of his second book spans from Patna to Mumbai, weaving the tales of small town characters and their dreams.
Mr. Prasnna Kumar Khamesra (IPS), SP, Chittorgarh was the chief guest of the program and spoke on the current trends in the world of publishing. He laid stress on the importance of reading and stated that avid book reading makes us better human beings.
The other guests present on the occasion included Mr. Siddhanth Sharma, Dy. SP, Gangarar and Mr. V.S. Sharma, CI, Gangrar. All the guests were felicitated by Shri R. K. Gadiya.
