Chittorgarh:  “Knowledge of both education and culture is essential so that the history of that culture and education can be better understood and appreciated, thereby internalizing the best purpose of education,” said Shri Manoj Sinha, Union Minister of State for Railways, as the chief guest while addressing the students of Mewar University on the occasion of Freshers’ Welcome and Foundation Day function---AAGAAZ-2015---on September 21, 2015.

Shri Sinha also underscored the importance of students choosing to become entrepreneurs as their career objectives, since this will not only help the students but will also bring about development in the country. To prove their calibre, today’s students must change their mindset in tune with the fast changing demands of a fiercely competitive and globalized scenario.

The Minister added that education should not be aimed at creating mere job seekers. Emphasizing on the significance of quality in education, Mr. Sinha laid down the principles of 3 R’s—Responsiveness, Responsibility and Reliability—for the students to achieve success in their lives and careers.

The cultural evening witnessed brilliant performance by students who took part in drama and poetry recital, which focused on female infanticide, child labour and deprivation of basic education, and above all, respect for foreign tourists visiting our country.
