Mewar University is an autonomous body promulgated by the Government of Rajasthan through Act No. 4 of 2009, passed by the Rajasthan Assembly. The University is further approved by UGC u/s2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act. The University is controlled by a Board of Management.
Mewar University was set up in the rural area to provide higher and quality education as well as offer technical and vocational courses to the rural youth. The University is located at Gangrar in Chittorgarh and is fast emerging as a hub for higher and vocational education. Quality education is imparted at a minimum cost by highly skilled faculty members through state-of-the-art infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories. The university has more than 4000 students, of which approximately 65% students are from the rural background. The University offers higher education in all disciplines and has a beautiful campus with board and lodging facilities for the students. The University’s main focus is to provide vocational and job-oriented education so that the rural youth does not face the problem of employability after completing their education. Our main motive behind setting up Mewar University is to impart quality education at a minimum cost.
Mewar University is going to organize an All-India entrance examination for engineering students, i.e., MUEEE – 2012. The last date of submission of the forms is Feb. 28, 2012 and the examination will be held on May 5, 2012 across the country in 73 cities. The forms are available across the country.The University will prepare a merit list, and the students scoring various ranks in the merit list will receive attractive rewards in the form of cash awards and waiver of tuition fee. IMPORTANT
Those students scoring less marks in MUEEE-2012 may join Polytechnic Programme and earn Dual Degree. After completing Diploma in 2 years, the students will become eligible for B. Tech programme which can be completed in 3 years. After completing B. Tech, the student will become eligible for M. Tech/MBA programme which can be completed in 1 year. Thus, a student can earn Diploma + B. Tech + M. Tech/MBA Degrees in 6 years.
