Chittorgarh:The Department of Pharmacy, Mewar University played a leading role in organizing the celebration of Mahavir Jayanti function on 20th April 2016. Dr. R.K. Paliwal Dean (Basic Science) was the chief guest and the HOD, Pharmacy, Staff Members of various departments were all present on the occasion.
Traditional lamp lighting ceremony heralded the celebration in an auspicious manner. It was followed by a motivating speech by Dr. R.K. Paliwal. The audience was enlightened by his valuable thoughts, which dwelt on the life and philosophy of Lord Mahavir.
The programme started with a song sung by Mr. Mudassir Ahmed. The students of B. Pharm II Sem., Ms. Dipamoni and Mr. Himagnshu performed a beautiful dance and an Assamese song.
Mr. Jayesh Gadhiya presented his valuable thoughts on the life and principles of Lord Mahavir.
Pharmacy students (Sahil and group) presented a skit, which was hilarious yet brilliantly synchronized by the students. It received a roaring applause from the audience.
The stage was then taken over by Ms. Gurvinder and Mr. Manik who regaled the audience with their energetic dance performance, which was well choreographed
