“SARFAROSHI KI TAMANNA AB HAMARE DIL ME HAI

DEKHNA HAI  ZOR KITNA BAZUYE KATIL ME HAI”

A remembrance gathering was organized on the occasion of SHAHID DIWAS (23rd March) by the ECE Department, MEWAR UNIVERSITY.

The program began with the traditional lamp lighten ceremony and Pushpa Vandan of the three great revolutionary freedom fighters-SARDAR BHAGAT SINGH , RAJGURU  and SUKHDEV.

Dr. R K Paliwal(Dean, Basic Science) the chief guest of the gathering in his speech threw light on the lives of the three great influential Indian Heroes. He quoted Bhagat Singh “if the deaf are to hear, the sound has to be loud ” while narrating the incident of bomb thrown by Bhagat Singh in the Central Legislative Assembly.

“Tyag se bane sinhaasan ko ,rond dala shahid hoke aramano ko Khun chuste ye parjivi, bhul gye sare balidano ko….”,sung by Alok Vishwakarma, student of B.Tech ECE.

A patriotic group dance on the theme ‘Unity in diversity’ was performed by the students of 1st and 2nd year engineering.

”Mera mulk mera desh mera ye vatan Pyar ka unnati ka mera ye chaman”, a duet song sung by Barkat ali and Alok. The song highlighted the developments made by our country and reminded the pledge taken by our national leaders at the time of Independence.

A skit was presented by the students of 1st & 2nd year which highlighted the sacrifices by our freedom fighters and the juxtaposed present scenario  of the nation struggling with problems like corruption, communalism, eve-teasing and capitalism etc. The skit gave the message that the country once again needs people like Bhagat Singh to fight present day problems.
