On 31 October , 2014 Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized an exhibition to celebrate “Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Jayanti” and “National Unity Day” at Mewar University, Chittorgarh.
The Exhibition aimed at showcasing the contribution and legacy of Sardar Vallabh Bahi Patel, and his role in the unification of India. A movie was also shown, focusing on the life journey of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
On this day, all the Mewar University Family Members took an Oath as Directed by Govt. of India. Due to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel's crtical role in the unfication of India, Indian Govt. declared this day as a “National Unity Day”.
Celebration of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Jayanti started with Saraswati vandana and Lamp Lighting. The celebration was followed by Dance, Song and inspirational speeches.
First address was delivered by Dr. R.K Paliwal (Dean, Basic Sciences, Mewar University). He shed light on the life journey of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. He also described the contribution of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
On the National Unity Day Mewar University also organized a “Collage Competition” for the students. The winners of “Collage Competition” were :
1st Winner : Mr. Sinku Kumar (Diploma 1st year)
2nd Winner : Mr. Prem Pritam Paswan (Diploma 1st year)
The Celebration ended with the inspirational speech of Prof. P. Ramaiah (Registrar, Mewar University).
