Chittorgarh:Mewar University paid homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and celebrated his 117th Birth anniversary on 23 January 2014. The department of pharmacy and BMLT in Mewar University came together to organize the event.
The program was inaugurated with the lighting of lamp together by Dean (Basic Science and management) Deputy Dean and Diploma Director. After inauguration, a patriotic song was sung by Mr. Hilal Ahmad which was enjoyed by the audience. Subsequently, a motivation speech was given by Dean (Management) Shri Durga Prasad in which he dwelt on the life and contribution of Netaji and compared his ideas with Swami Vivekananda. He also discussed the present scenario of India and discussed Netaji’s and Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s contribution to the making of modern India.
In continuation of the program, a tribute to Netaji and his soldiers was paid by Mr.Peerzada Suhail and Mr.Zubair Ahmed by singing a patriotic song and by Mr. Bilal Ahmed by reciting a poem.
This Patriotism day would never have been complete without cultural programs and Kashmiri and Ladakhi songs presented by deco group and Mr. Sajjad Hussain, which was enjoyed by the faculties and students, eliminating barriers of language for nation.
After all beautiful performances, Dean Dr R.K Paliwal (Basic Science) summed the whole event in his speech. He talked about the life of Netaji and his scarifies, works and ideology.
At last, a quiz was conducted on Netaji’s life and his achievements, and everyone actively participated in it. The whole program came to a successful end with a vote of thanks given by Dr. Meenakshi Dhanawat (H.O.D of PHARMACY).
