Chittorgarh:Mewar University, Gangrar (Chittorgarh) organized First Blood Donation Camp on 18th October, 2013 at its campus. It started at 10 O’clock. There was over-whelming response among students, faculty and staff of Mewar University to donate blood. It was explained to them that donating blood saves life of persons who have met with fatal accidents. It helps pregnant mothers whose hemoglobin is short. It also helps patients who need blood frequently. Donating blood is one of the most pious works of human being. 327 Units of blood was donated by students, faculty and staff of Mewar University. This was one of the largest camps held in the District of Chittorgarh. The Team leader Mr. Ajay Kumar, HOD, Department of Computer Application, and his team of faculty, staff and students made all necessary efforts for the success of the camp.
Fruits, milk and chocolates were served to all the donors by Mewar University. The Team of doctors and paramedical staff of Gangrar hospital and Shri Sanwaliya Hospital Chittorgarh rendered their valuable services for the success of the camp and they took all care to see that the activities go on very smoothly. Mewar University thanks all the doctors, paramedical staff and all those who have helped us in organizing the first camp.
Dr Sanjeev Kumar Tank, CMHO, Chittorgarh was the Chief Guest, Mr. Govindji Gadiya, Secretary, Mewar Education Society & Member Board of Management presided over the camp and Dr. Arvind Malhotra, Principal Medical Officer, Shri Sanwaliya Government Hospital, Chittorgarh was the Guest of Honor. Mr. C.R.Chaudhary, Pro President, Shri Sunilji Gadiya, Management Representative, Dr. R. K. Paliwal, Dean, H. Widhani, Registrar and all the staff and students associated with the organization of the camp took every care and made the logistics available to make it a grand success.
