Chittorgarh:Vishwakarma is considered the divine engineer of the cosmos in Hindu Mythology. To mark the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti this time, Mewar University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering inaugurated its new infrastructural building to offer students world class state-of-the-art technical lab facilities. Vishwakarma is not only worshiped by the people in engineering and architectural professions but also by others in different professions. It is customary for craftsmen to worship their tools in his name.
On this auspicious day this year, Shri Govind G Gadiya (Secretary of Mewar Education Society), Shri C R Chaudhary (Pro VC of Mewar University, Former RPSC Chairman), Mr. H. Widhani, Registrar and Dr. R K Paliwal (Dean, Mewar University) along with all members of Mewar university took part in the inauguration of the new technical lab building by participating in Hawan and Pooja for prosperity and growth of the University.
Mewar University, which has emerged as one of the largest private universities of Rajasthan in a short span, has partnered with several industrial organizations with a view to expose its student to rigors of industry, and setting up this modern lab is a step in this direction. At the same time, the university, through this symbolic act, paid homage to Vishwakarma, considered the lord of engineering & architecture in the entire universe.
