Teacher's Day Celebration 5th September, 2022

On 5th of September – 2022, Teachers’ day was celebrated by Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Mewar University, on the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a staunch believer of education and a well known diplomat, visionary, statesman, scholar, President of India and above all, a perfect Teacher.

The program was celebrated at Maharana Pratap Auditorium after 03:00 pm onwards. Students decorated the hall with the decorative items on the eve of Teachers’ day and the faculties were welcomed warmly. The program was started with lightening of lamp for the Maa Saraswati. The anchoring was done by the students, Ms Rajni Thakur and Ms Urvashi Shortriya. Prof. (Dr.) Chitralekha, Dean Faculty of Fine Arts, Yoga & Naturopathy, gave a speech on this auspicious occasion and give the message of what actually Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan wanted. She explained very beautifully the importance of Teachers’ Day to all the students. She said that Teachers mould the lives of the students by guiding them, by enriching their personalities, by imparting ethical and moral values and have more influence on them.

More than 100 teachers and 250 students along with higher dignitaries of the University were present. Students gave their performance through dance, singing and speech. International students of University captivated everyone with their beautiful dance program. On the request of students, Mr. Abhishek Kumar, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering, sing a song. A quiz competition was also conducted for the teachers by the students and also gave chocolates to the teachers, who gave the correct answer. Everyone remembered Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan in a cheerful environment. Each of the faculties was given a gift as a token of gratitude to show the acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put by the teachers towards their development. At last, Dr. Esar Ahmad, Head of Department, Civil Engineering ended the program by giving vote of thanks.
