Dear Learners,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Mewar University (MU) and I congratulate you for deciding to pursue your studies in this University. Established by an Act of Rajasthan Government and recognised by UGC, Government of India, Mewar University has the objective of providing higher education to all those who aspire for it.
The University is committed to excel in teaching, training, capacity-building, scholarship, research and public service. Mewar University values the appropriate use of information and communication technologies and supports quality teaching and learning through them. Self- instructional materials, audio and video programmes, face-to-face teaching and counseling sessions, periodic assignments and project work constitute the teaching-learning methodology. For laboratory and practical-intensive courses in science, engineering, technology, professional courses and vocational courses, the University provides physical and infrastructure facilities of the conventional instruction.
The University offers academic programmes from certificate level to Ph.D level. These programmes cater to a wide range of learners from diverse background including professionally qualified specialist, executives, professors at all levels, and the representatives from industries, interested in pursuing post-school education.
The University has unique choice based flexible credits programmes of Dual-Degree courses and grading system of examination. The academic year is divided into three semesters i.e. semester I, II and Summer Term.
