Exam

  1. The academic year of the University normally begins in the last week of July every year and ends by the end of June of next calendar year. It is divided into three parts: Semester I, Semester II and Summer Term.
  2. Each of the two semesters consists of several weeks each inclusive of one week of mid semester recess. The last week of each semester is used for the end semester examination (called as "Major" examination) and half a week during the semester is utilized for the mid-semester examinations (called as "Minor" examinations). Thus, there are about fourteen working weeks (5 days of instruction per week) in each semester. The summer term consists for of about eight (8) working weeks, excluding the three days taken up by the mid-term and the end-term examinations.
  3. The exact dates of all the important events, such as orientation, registration, late registration, commencement of classes, adding and dropping of courses, submission of documents, academic session are specified in the academic calendar of the University.
  4. Disciplinary actions will be taken against the students a) copying/attempting to copy or communicating answers to and from other student(s), (b) pre-programming a calculator to contain answers or other unauthorized information, (c) using unauthorized materials, prepared answers, written notes, or concealed information and (d) appearing as proxy for some one else during quizzes or examination,such cases shall be considered as acts of gross indiscipline. Also, a)forgery, alteration, or misuse of any University document, record, key electronic device etc, (b) theft of, conversion of, destruction of , or damage to any property of the University (c) providing false information in deliberate, systematic and planned manner with the purpose of misguiding University authorities and personnel shall be considered as acts of indiscipline by the University.
